I hope this email finds you well, as I am doing well here in Arequipa, Peru. I have officially finished book one in language school which taught me a lot of grammar and present tense verbs. Now on to book two which is all in past tense. I am so thankful for my teacher and for our group at language school.
Not only does my teacher teach me Spanish, but he teaches me culture as well. This is very important because life here is very different than my life in the states. I kinda feel like a little kid again and am relearning life. I am grateful to have people here that will teach me these things because if I'm not careful I can offend many people.
I have also been memorizing Bible verses in Spanish and can now lead someone through the plan of salvation just through memory. I also have had the opportunity to do two devotionals now in Spanish. As my Spanish is improving, I still have a long ways to go and I ask that you would pray for me that I would learn it.
This past month, I had the opportunity to visit two new churches and God is blessing them even through this pandemic. We also just had a teen bonfire and sleep over at the Bible college here. There was a time of worship, preaching and testifying all while around the fire. I also made s’mores and it was the first time they ever tried it before. It was a great time of fellowship and believe the Lord worked in their hearts.
