Fellowship Baptist Church was founded in the fall of 1997. The first service was held in the Bluff City Elementary School auditorium in January of 1998. In the spring of that same year, the church was led by God to purchase property at an auction of the Thomas farm along State Route 390 in Bluff City, TN. In January of 1999 we began construction of the present sanctuary and held our first service in June of that year. The church continued to grow and the fellowship hall was completed in the spring of 2002. We truly believe that God has led us to this place to impact our community for Christ.
MEET OUR STAFF
Scott Watson
The pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church, he and his wife Gloria have been here since the beginning. Scott is a graduate of East Tennessee State University, has two sons, Blake and Jacob, and two lovely daughters-in-law.
Jimmy Denton
“I Love Music . . . . I Love All Kinds of Music."
When the church began, Jimmy led the choir, as well as the youth, and did the bulletin. Today, Jimmy has returned as our music minister, and leads one of the most talented small choirs in the region. “It is my honor to serve the Lord and to be a part of the service each and every week."

Joshua Rouse
Deacon, and husband to our Children's Ministry Director, Josh has stepped into the role of our Student Minister on an interim basis as he seeks God's direction. Even so, his knowledge of, and devotion to, Scripture makes us confident that our youth are receiving solid instruction as they face a world trying to convince them truth is relative.
Payton Rouse
Payton has been serving as our Children's Director since 2024, and her presence has brought with it a vitality and a zeal to teach the truths of the Gospel to even our youngest. Her desire is for our children to grow in Christ and to feel that they are just as much a part of this church as everyone else.

Tyler Morrell
Tyler was only 9 years old when the church was first organized, and he's been here ever since. He is currently serving as our Administrative Assistant. He also serves with the children's ministry, and the sound team.
