Dear Pastors and Praying Friends:
Thank you for praying for us during this time. 2020 will definitely be a year that we all remember for the trials as well as the victories. Many things have been unknown during this time, but we know that none of this has taken God by surprise and that all things will work together for our good. Navarro Family : As I mentioned last month, Pastor Luis Navarro of Hunter Baptist Church passed away from complications with Covid. Please pray for Mrs. Ruth Navarro and her three children, Jonathan, David, and Pamela as they are going through this trial. Thankfully, we have seen offerings given to help them with their expenses for the next year as Mrs. Ruth is working to organize her life. We are thankful that we have a place at the Bible College where they will be able to stay rent free for as long as they need. I ask you to pray for them during this time.
Omega Church Property: We mentioned earlier that we are looking for a property for Omega Baptist Church. Obviously, that has been put on hold due to the lockdowns and corona virus. Thankfully, we have seen $10,000 raised, and we had another $2,000 given by Calvary Baptist Church in Ashland, OH. So we have had $12,000 given for the church property. We are very excited that we have funds being raised for the property. We are waiting for things to open up in Peru before we move forward with buying a church property. Please pray that the funds will continue to be provided, and that God will open an amazing opportunity during this time.
2020: The Year of “I don’t know” :2020 has definitely been a crazy year. We never expected to see all that has happened, but we are trusting the Lord through all of this. We are currently back in the United States, and will remain here until the Peruvian government opens up. Many have asked when we are returning to Peru, and my only answer is I don’t know. Our church members in Peru have asked when are we going to begin meeting again, and my answer is I do not know. There are many answers that I do not have right now. I ask you to pray for wisdom for us and pray that God would open doors and put us in the right place at the right time for His honor and glory. New Team Members: We are very thankful that God has provided the needed support for Lauren Grant, who is a single missionary that will be working with us and is going to be a great asset to our team. Lord willing, she will be traveling to Peru with us whenever we are able to go back. Also, Mitch and Jacqulyn McCormack, and their two children, are planning to head to Peru at the beginning of the year.
They have already been a great blessing to us, and I know that they will be in the future. Pease pray for Josh and Allie Miller as they are also on deputation raising support at this time.
