Dear Pastors and praying friends,
The month of July concluded one of the busiest stages of our entire lives in ministry, and we are very thankful for how the Lord has worked and provided here in Arequipa, Peru.
One Month Interns:
We praise God that in the month of July we had seven, college aged young people make their way down to Peru for a month long internship to learn about the ministry. We are very thankful that God opened the doors for these young people to come even though we faced some uncertainties at the beginning with borders closing. Please be in prayer for Morgan Wilkerson, Josh Barton, Gabriel Chedid, Andrew Faulk, Cooper Kennedy, Cohen Ray, and Ben Cherry as they are making decisions and praying about what the Lord might have for them in the future. Each one has expressed that God used this past month as a life changing experience, and that He is working in their hearts greatly. Please also pray that next year we would have the opportunity to host another internship, and to see God call more people to the mission field.
Chase Southard:
Chase Southard, an Our Generation Training Center student, served as an intern in the ministry here for the last six months. During his time here, Chase was a great blessing to us, and we are excited to see how God uses him in the future. He recently finished his internship and has returned to the States, where he will begin deputation as a missionary to South Africa. We are so thankful for his time spent in Arequipa, and are excited that God has called him to be a missionary to South Africa. Would you please pray for him as he begins this next step?
New Church Plant:
Bryan Achahui, one of our Bible College students, recently started a new church plant in another area of the city. Would you please pray that the Lord would bless Bethel Baptist Church, and that we would see many come to know Jesus!? Thank you for your prayers and support.
